Abstract
This study focuses on the state of gender bias in graduate economic education, using a mail questionnaire to persons earning Ph.D.’s in economics during 1970–1989. Responses suggest that certain gender-based differences do characterize graduate economic programs. Potential ways to achieve a gender-neutral environment and directions for further research are proposed. © 1995 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
