Abstract
The paper analyzes the scientific production on gender in the Physical Education, field of knowledge and pedagogical intervention, in Brazil. The research consisted of an exploratorydescriptivephase centered on Scientometry. The analysis corpus consisted of 20 dissertationsand theses defended between the years 2013 and 2018. The results show us: the production isconcentrated in the southeastern and southern regions of the country; the main programs arePPGEF/UFMG and PPGCMH/UFRGS; the themes studied are directed to the issue of womenand sport; and women emerge as authors. We show that the production seems to reflect thepolitical and social demands regarding the gender category, which can be inferred accordingto the increase in production and effervescence of antigender agendas from 2013 © 2021.
